Amazon has announced an increase to its minimum wage across the United States. The company's new starting pay for US employees is now $20 an hour, reflecting a $1 increase from its previous minimum level. Alongside this wage adjustment, Amazon stated that its average employee pay has reached $24 an hour. A new benefit, providing a grocery discount specifically for Whole Foods, was also introduced for its employees.
This recent minimum wage increase and the addition of a new grocery discount benefit align Amazon’s US minimum pay directly with that of Costco.
