Australian ultrarunner Phil Gore hospitalized after 152 hour solo run, doctors drain 500ml of pus.

Australian ultrarunner Phil Gore, aged 40, has been hospitalized after completing an extraordinary 152 hour solo run. He sought medical attention earlier this week due to persistent leg pain that did not resolve following his challenging ordeal. During his attempt, Gore ran more than 1,000 kilometers last month, fueled by various items including Nerds, meat pies, Coco Pops, and a cheeseburger.

Medical professionals performed a 12 centimeter incision on his thigh to address the ongoing pain. This procedure resulted in the draining of 500 milliliters of pus from his leg, an amount roughly equivalent to a pint. This marks another significant number for Gore, whose legs have delivered extraordinary achievements in ultrarunning.
