The U.S. Federal Reserve recently raised its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points. This action was a widely expected move and marks the first rate increase from the central bank since July 2023.
As a direct result of this decision, the U.S. Federal Reserve's benchmark fed funds rate range now stands between 3.75 percent and 4.0 percent.
