Images from the campaign advertisement were published by the Russian business newspaper Vedomosti. These visuals depict Ovechkin alongside several prominent pro Putin individuals. Among those featured are Sergey Lavrov, Russia's foreign minister and the top parliamentary candidate for United Russia, and Margarita Simonyan, who is the editor in chief of the RT propaganda network.
