Apple's A20 Pro is the latest mobile chip, powering the iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, and the forthcoming foldable iPhone Duo. This advanced chip is manufactured on a 2nm process, incorporating a 6 core CPU with two super cores and four efficiency cores. It also features a 7 core GPU equipped with Neural Accelerators and a dual 16 core Neural Engine specifically designed to handle artificial intelligence tasks.
Synthetic benchmark tests were conducted on a freshly activated iPhone 18 Pro using Geekbench 6 and 7. The A20 Pro demonstrated exceptional performance, significantly surpassing most competing chipsets, with only the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy coming close. In Geekbench 7, the iPhone 18 Pro achieved a single core CPU score of 3,959 and a multi core score of 10,854. Its GPU performance was also strong, scoring 61,194, clearly establishing the iPhone 18 Pro as the new performance king.
