This examination offered an inside look at mechanical details, including the camera's variable aperture and a Face ID infrared camera newly hidden beneath the display. The primary finding indicated that most repairs will still require access through the device's screen.
Mokhtari observed that opening the back panel is insufficient for typical repairs, which instead involve a tricky and expensive process due to adhesive and the plastic screen frame. The teardown also provided a view of Apple's next generation C2 cellular modem and the A20 Pro powered logic board, showcasing internal architecture while highlighting the continued complexity of device servicing.
